Jordan Jolicoeur Is a Proud Metis, husband, and father. Jordan is the President & CEO of Carvel Electric- a family owned Indigenous electrical service company. Jordan Is an advocate for the advancement of Indigenous employment and business. As a Master Electrician, he has grown the small family-owned company from a pickup truck and a hand full of clients to today working with some of Canada largest energy, railroad, and pipeline companies. In 2018 Jordan received the “National Aboriginal young Entrepreneur of the Year” award as well as the “Metis Nation of Alberta Business of the year” award. Jordan believes in the values of a handshake approach to business and the importance of creating community and relationships in order to achieve success.  

Economic Reconciliation is about creating opportunity so that all Canadians Indigenous and non-Indigenous can assist each other in moving the economy forward. Economic Reconciliation is important to me because I have first hand felt the positive impact that a good job opportunity plays in increasing the quality of life for an individual and a family. Indigenous people have an important role to play in Canadas economic future as the fastest growing youth population we are a resource ready to be tapped
