Myrtle is a proud Inuk woman from Nunatsiavut and grew up in Labrador with both Inuk and Mi’kmaq background. She is proud of her Indigenous background, especially being a Labradorian. Myrtle received her BBA from Acacia University then moved to Fort McMurray, Alberta where she joined Fluor and has worked in Energy and Chemicals, Mining and Power industries. Her work has given her the opportunity to also take advantage of her love for adventure and travel and she has been to offices or projects throughout Canada, the US, Asia, South America, and Europe. Myrtle is the Indigenous Relations Lead for Fluor Canada Ltd. Myrtle also sits on the Board of Directors for Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business as well as the Indigenous Advisory Committee to the United Way of Calgary Board of Directors. Myrtle is committed to making an impact and puts that energy in all that she does.
