Alex Cook

Alex Cook is a human resources professional with more than 5 years of experience in the Public Service. Alex has extensive experience in program and policy development, staffing and recruitment, training and development, performance management, and career development planning. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Saint Francis Xavier University, where he studied business administration, majoring in management and leadership.

As the driving force for Inuit Employment Programs at Qulliq Energy Corporation, Nunavut’s sole power utility, Alex is responsible for the overall design, implementation, and delivery of the Corporation’s employment equity programs. In collaboration with the Government of Nunavut and Designated Inuit Organizations, Alex has been part of the implementation of various programs at QEC and has cultivated the development and inclusivity of the Corporation’s Inuit employees. Alex facilitates cultural awareness activities and fosters an environment that embraces and encourages the incorporation of Inuit Societal Values throughout the Corporation.
