Best Practices when developing the “PEOPLE, EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING” Pillars of your Reconciliation Action Plan

Workshop| 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Workshop Description

Indigenizing a workforce involves much more than increasing diversity numbers or updating hiring policies. It requires an organization to conduct a holistic review of their organization and an evaluation of their strategic approach to recruitment and retention.

In this session, trusted advisor and settler from Creative Fire, Haleigh King will share how organizations can foster a more inclusive workplace by developing a Reconciliation Action Plan. Attendees will learn how Creative Fire has supported clients across Canada in the development of a focused and tactical approach to ensure Indigenous Peoples are engaged by an organization, as candidates or employees, while creating an inclusive environment that also contributes to the advancement of Reconciliation.
