Sarah Jacknife

(Re)rooting Indigenous Leadership Inc.

Meet Sarah:

Sarah is an accomplished expert in Indigenous relations, advocating passionately for Indigenous rights and reconciliation. Co-founding (Re)rooting Indigenous Leadership, she provides leadership training for Indigenous employees and people leaders. With international experience, she has collaborated with Indigenous rights holders in New Zealand and nationally in Indigenous higher education and telecommunications. Her written work has been featured in The Globe and Mail, CBC, and the Calgary Herald.

In addition to her role as a sessional instructor at the School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary, Sarah is the founder of Jacknife Consulting, a boutique consulting firm specializing in Indigenous curriculum development, strategy formulation, and policy review. She is part of the Indigenous Leadership Circle and serves on the Calgary Aboriginal Urban Affairs Committee.

She is a proud member of Elizabeth Métis Settlement with connections to Saddle Lake Cree First Nation in Treaty Six Territory. She currently resides as a guest in Mohkinstsis/Calgary in Treaty 7.
