Meet Leah:

Leah, Senior Manager of Partnerships and Events at the First Nations Technology Council, brings over 15 years of experience in connecting Indigenous Peoples and communities with companies committed to embedding reconciliation into their practices. She fosters an inclusive culture, forging partnerships with academia, philanthropy, and industry to advance Indigenous innovation and digital equity.

Leah played a critical role in the Technology Council’s Moving Beyond Inclusion: Partnerships and Reconciliation Initiative, facilitating companies in developing action plans to support reconciliation and increase Indigenous recruitment, retention, and job satisfaction. She focuses on building bridges in digital skills training, facilitating smooth transitions for Indigenous learners into tech careers.

Leah is of mixed heritage, both Métis and Ukrainian descent and is a citizen of Métis Nation British Columbia. Raised in Treaty 6 territory and currently residing as a guest on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations, she ensures Indigenous worldviews and innovation thrive in BC’s technology economy.
