Ioana Giurca

As the CEO of CPHR Alberta, Ioana Giurca has a successful background in leadership and governance. Ioana was named Chief Executive Officer in 2022, after her 13-year employment with the association. Ioana holds a BComm with a major in Finance and a mini MBA from McGill Executive Institute and has an extensive background with the association in finance, IT, administration and HR functions. Ioana has an incredible ability to forge effective relationships, and continues to increase the profile of the organization, both in the public eye and with strategic partners. Under Ioana’s leadership the association continues to grow in membership and awareness. Her advocacy efforts for the HR profession and the CPHR designation are unmatched.
