Gene Jamieson is a global speaker and people developer with a passion for people, knowledge sharing and diversity & inclusion. Born and raised on the Six Nations of the Grand River territory, Gene has travelled the world in pursuit of knowledge, having graduated from McMaster University with a BA in Psychology, Brock University with a BEd in Adult Education, and the Rotterdam School of Management with an MBA in global business. He has also held certifications with the Human Resources Professionals Association and Project Management Institute. Throughout his journey, Gene has come to realize just how important his Indigenous roots and Indigenous knowledge are and has supported many organizations with tapping into this Indigenous knowledge to inform their reconciliation journeys, as well as Indigenous organizations embedding the knowledge into their business practices. Gene is an experienced public speaker who advocates for inclusion in all forms and encourages his audiences to think outside the box. He is known for his entertaining presentation style, positive personality, and the ability to hold space for people through a non-judgmental, passionately neutral approach. Gene is currently a university lecturer in Rotterdam, The Netherlands focused on people, culture and change and the Managing Director of Turtle Clan Management Consulting here in Canada.
