Biography

Alexandra Biron is currently Senior Manager of Deloitte Indigenous and through her role is leading the execution of Deloitte Canada’s Reconciliation Action Plan based on guiding commitments and targets around reconciliation under the pillars of education, employment, inclusion and economic empowerment. Alexandra holds a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University with a major in Business Sustainability and has a great passion for social sustainability. Alexandra also holds a Graduate Diploma in Social Responsibility and Sustainability from the University of Toronto where she was awarded the President’s Award for her capstone project: Deloitte’s Indigenous Impact Report. Alexandra has a decade of experience working in the nonprofit and private sector specializing in community investment, employee and stakeholder management, strategic planning and program development. She offers a unique skill set, which is paired with her business mindset and commitment to social good. Alexandra is proud of her Anishinaabe/Ojibway identity and is committed to furthering both reconciliation and innovation in support of making an impact in Canada for Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. Alexandra has authored numerous reports and articles within Corporate Responsibility and Indigenous reconciliation and is featured in articles such as: CBC, Globe and Mail Op-ed, President’s Award Recipient, Future of Good. Alexandra is an engaged community leader and supports the advancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Leadership roles include co-lead of IMPACT2030 Indigenous Task Force, Volunteer Canada’s Corporate Community Engagement Council, Advisory Panelist for BMO Celebrating Women Grant.
